Green Energy Power Plant

Construction company, Thyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions contracted Advanced Insulation and Fabrications on the project.

The 24MW bagasse-fired plant at Tableland Sugar Mill is the first of four green energy power plants to be built at MSF Sugar operations across Queensland.

With over 7,000 sq meter surface area of the equipment insulated with multiple layers of Rockwool insulation as temperatures range from 60 to 535 degrees Celsius and metal-sheathed with panel rib on square equipment and structures. Mill finish aluminium was used on the vessels & pipework.

With over 2,500 lineal meters of pipework completed comprising of bends, tee’s and valve. With temperatures ranging from 60 to 535 degrees Celsius again with multiple layers where required for maximum conservation of heat loss.
